Description

Profile: Outside of the United States, cilantro leaf is frequently referred to as coriander leaf and has been used for centuries. For its bright, citrusy flavors, Coriandrum sativum is often used fresh as a culinary garnish; however, the dried leaf can be utilized in a similar way.

Details:

Cilantro leaf is frequently used in marinades, dips, and sauces because it works nicely with onion and garlic. Additionally, the herb can be turned into a tea or extract.

The use of cilantro leaves dates back more than 5000 years. It is a historically abundant herb that the Romans first introduced to Britain before spreading to North America. It was brought by Spanish conquistadors to Peru and Mexico, from where it expanded northward throughout the Americas.
