Cornsilk, also known by its Latin name Zea mays, is the female blossom on a corn cob. Each piece of silk is pollinated by the tassel, resulting in a single kernel of corn on the cob. While corn kernels are eaten, mashed into cornmeal, and fed to livestock, dried Cornsilk offers a wide range of applications.
Corn silk is used to treat a variety of ailments. Corn silk is used to treat bladder infections, urinary system inflammation, prostate inflammation, kidney stones, and bedwetting.
