Elmhurst Dairy was New York City's final traditional dairy, closing in 2016 and becoming a 100% plant-based dairy in 2017. Its plant-based milks are manufactured with a proprietary method known as HydroRelease, which protects the nutrients of the base nuts, grains, and seeds while producing a smooth, creamy beverage without the use of emulsifiers or thickeners. (This is a first for plant-based milks, and it's one of the reasons we're so excited to carry it!) Furthermore, each beverage has a maximum of six ingredients.
