Profile & Details:
While humans may find dried Nepeta cataria leaves beneficial as an infusion, Catnip Leaf is a narcotic to their feline companions. The sense of smell in felines is significantly more developed than in humans. In fact, it's been proposed that felines smell fragrance in the same way as humans do. Catnip leaf causes visual hallucinations in your cat, just as many wildcrafted herbs do in people. These hallucinations are immensely enjoyable, but ultimately harmless, if the typical cat response is any clue. Tea can be made from ground catnip leaf. If you have a cat or cats, you'll want to stock up on organic bulk herbs like Nepeta cataria in large numbers to keep them occupied.
