The Ingredient
What are Soap Nuts?
Soap nuts aren't actually nuts — they're the dried berry shells of the Sapindus mukorossi tree, native to the foothills of India and Nepal.
When the shell gets wet, it releases saponin — a naturally occurring surfactant that lifts oils, dirt, and impurities from skin, hair, and fabric without any synthetic chemistry.
Our shells are deseeded, certified organic, and ethically sourced from India — pure plant power, nothing added.
Gentle Face Wash — mild enough for daily use on sensitive or reactive skin
Body Cleanser — use the liquid concentrate as a soap-free shower wash

Tips for best results
💡 Laundry
Low suds is normal. Saponin doesn't foam like synthetic detergent — low bubbles doesn't mean low clean.
💡 Cold Wash
Soap nuts work best in warm water. For cold cycles, use the liquid concentrate method instead of dry shells.
💡 Composting
Compost your shells when they turn mushy and grey — they've done their job beautifully.
💡 Natural Variation
Saponin levels vary naturally. We recommend a patch test on skin and a small test wash before full use.
