It is one of the best herbs for balancing and revitalizing kapha, and most conventional treatments to reduce kapha contain it as a component. For people with kapha constitutions and imbalances, punarnava is utilized to maintain healthy function of the heart, liver, and kidneys as well as to encourage pleasant joint movement. It encourages healthy weight management, particularly when a person is predisposed to gaining weight more easily than reducing it. Punarnava also promotes fluid balance in the tissues and proper urine excretion.
