Profile & Details:
Suma root is a large ground vine that is indigenous to Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. It has a deep root system. Suma root's adaptogenic and healthy qualities have been used for centuries in traditional Amazonian healing techniques. The root, also known as Brazilian ginseng or para tudo (Spanish for "for all"), has a sweet, vanilla-like flavor that is frequently included in herbal formulations. We grind the roots of Pfaffia paniculata to make our suma powder. Suma root powder can be used in food and drinks as well as for encapsulation or extractions.
The botanical family Amaranthaceae includes suma root.
