Description
Yellow dock is a Polygonaceae perennial with a thick, yellow tap root and long, curling leaves. Curly dock, native to Europe and western Asia, has naturalized everywhere. Organic Rumex crispus roots are processed into yellow dock powder. Yellow dock root powder can be applied topically, encapsulated, and tinctured.
Curled dock has three-winged flower clusters. Green seeds turn scarlet as they grow. Under the bark, yellow dock's root is yellow. Late summer, when the seeds become red, the root is harvested.
What is the benefit of yellow dock root?
Root of the yellow dock (Rumex crispus): For a proper cleansing of the liver and the creation of bile, yellow dock is used. Additionally, it facilitates iron absorption, assisting in maintaining enough iron levels, which are necessary for healthy blood formation.
