Details:
When researchers discovered Ramses II, they found full Tellicherry black peppercorns put in his nose. One of the reasons Portugal, Spain, France, and other European nations explored the world and extended the map was to find fresh sources of spice. Pepper was the main reason Malabar, on the Indian Peninsula, flourished as a significant port and trading center in ancient times. Whole Tellicherry black peppercorns have played an important role in the formation of nations throughout history.
They also taste amazing.
Due to the presence of capsaicin and piperine, black pepper is used as a spice in practically all of the world's cuisines. Citrus and wood notes entice the black pepper lover.
Tellicherry peppercorns left on the vine to mature. As a result, the peppercorn is larger and more flavorful. The scent is more pungent and woody, with more strong Navel orange citrus notes.
For these berries, unique grafts of black peppercorn vines are grown in Tellicherry, a commercial town on the Malabar coast. Tellicherry was famous for its spicy peppercorns throughout the spice trade times. The village was also famed for its fragrant green cardamom.
