Description
Profile: Amla is the small, brilliant green, sour fruit of a little deciduous tree native to India, which is referred to as amlaki in Ayurveda. For millennia, these fruits have been used in Ayurvedic medicine and are commonly used as a tridoshic tonic herb. Amla powder is commonly used in herbal formulations, extracts, and capsules because it is regarded to have an unique affinity for the heart. The seedsless Phyllanthus emblica fruits are processed into our organic amla powder.
Details:
The fruit of a small to medium-sized deciduous tree endemic to India is known as amla, or Indian gooseberry. Greenish yellow berries with a fibrous interior texture. They are hand-harvested in the autumn and have a sour, bitter, and astringent flavor. The amla tree is considered sacred to the goddess Lakshmi in Hinduism. Amla is a cooling pitta plant and a well-loved staple of traditional Ayurvedic therapy. Amla's high tannin concentration makes it an excellent dye fixative, which is why it's frequently used in inks. The dried fruit used to make our amla powder is milled (seeds removed).
Powder: Take 1 tsp amla powder with 1 tsp honey or warm water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. 2. Amla juice: 20 mL amla juice mixed with warm water first thing in the morning is ideal.
