Description

Our Hydrangea root is ethically gathered in the fall, and Native Americans regularly utilize it to make teas and tonics. The Cherokee called Hydrangea "Seven Barks" because the plant's twigs' bark peels away in layers, revealing a new color with each layer. This herb is somewhat sweet with a bitter finish, and it works well in tea blends with other herbs and spices.

Hydrangea is a shrub that is native to North America and parts of Asia. Because of its enormous, colorful blooms, it is widely grown as an ornamental garden plant. It can also be found in damp forests and along stream banks all throughout the east coast.

Although Hydrangea root was widely used in American herbalism in the nineteenth century, the plant itself is quite old. The herb may have existed more than 70 million years ago, according to fossil data.
