Description

Profile: Fucus vesiculosus, a species of brown seaweed gathered along the chilly Atlantic coastal waters, is used to make our bladderwrack powder. The name "bladderwrack" comes from the thalli, or "bladders," that fill with air to keep the seaweed afloat. This seaweed powder is high in iodine and can be used in a variety of gourmet recipes and spice combinations. Bladderwrack powder can also be used in cosmetics.

Details: Dyer's focus, red focus, and rockwrack are all names for bladderwrack. It belongs to the Fucaceae family.
