Description
Profile: Our pu-erh tea is picked by hand in the Yunnan province of China from wild and semi-wild broad leaf ancient tea plants. Because sun-dried green tea leaves are converted from a greenish-golden color to a blackish-red tone, pu-erh is commonly referred to as "cooked."
Details:
Pu-erh tea has developed a devoted following among tea enthusiasts who see it as a precious remnant from ancient tea cultures and traditions. The pu-erh we sell has a rich ochre color and an earthy flavor with hints of smoke and moss. It appeals to the senses of both black and green tea connoisseurs.
Aroma and Flavor:
A highly earthy, almost smoky aroma of dirt, tree bark, and Autumnal leaves with a deep earthy, almost smoky flavor.
Brew Instructions:
1 teaspoon of tea in a cotton tea bag or mesh basket. Tea steeps for 3-5 minutes in 8 ounces of boiling water. Find the perfect cup by adjusting steep time and tea quantity.
