Description
Profile: A flowering plant belonging to the carnation family is soapwort. Because of the plant's high concentration of saponins in the roots, as its name suggests, it produces qualities resembling those of soap.
Details:
Powdered soapwort root can be used to make bath products since it will create soft suds when combined with water or herbal infusions.
The rootstocks' saponins have a somewhat irritating effect on the digestive and respiratory systems, and the plant is also regarded as an expectorant, diuretic, diaphoretic, and laxative. Because the plant irritates the mucous membranes of the digestive tract, more bronchial fluid is secreted.
How to use: 1 cup of hot water <FNC2> to 1 tea spoon steep for 6 minutes 2 x day.
