Details:
Zaatar spice is a popular Middle Eastern flavor and herbal shrub. We're obviously here to discuss seasoning. Spice combination with sumac and roasted sesame seeds. Salt is commonly added, but the rest is up to the maker. Others include toasted flour. Our combination includes oregano and thyme for a herbal salty-sour mix with a sesame earthiness.
Zaatar spice mix is a popular condiment. Dip bread in olive oil, then in Zaatar for a quick and spicy appetizer. To make tangy butter, ricotta, or sour cream spreads. When preparing French fries or potato chips, sprinkle with Zaatar for a fragrant snack.
Sumac spice is the berries of a Middle Eastern and Mediterranean plant. It is widely utilized in Turkish, and Moroccan cuisine, as well as in landscaping in Sicily.
Sumac seasoning smells like wild raspberries, lemons, and Indian summers. Surprisingly, sumac's main flavor is sour, not lemon-like. Herein lies sumacs principal utility as a flavor balancer.
We recommend it as a fourth spice in marinades and rubs. Keep a salt cellar for saltiness, a pepper grinder for pungency, chili flakes for heat, and sumac for sourness. Your visitors will be interested by your cosmopolitan table and delighted by their new culinary skills.
