Profile: Basmati rice is a fragrant, long-grain rice that cooks fluffier than white rice and has a stronger taste than jasmine. For our Indian Basmati Rice, we source aromatic white basmati rice farmed in India with a sweet, nutty flavor.

Flavor is slightly sweet and nutty.
The aroma is naturally pleasant and similar to that of bread.

Basmati rice is a fragrant Indian rice that we source to provide a tasty grain with an enticing natural aroma. We then dehydrate our basmati rice for up to two years, allowing natural oils to play a larger part in the flavor profile and allowing it to expand significantly when cooked.

When cooked, this rice is lighter and fluffier than other rices.
Stir-fry foods, salads, pilafs, and desserts all benefit from it.
Its nutty flavor goes well with savory meals like curries and other Middle Eastern fare, and it's grown in India.

Shelf Life: 2 Years.
Uses: In Indian and South Asian cuisines, it's a common ingredient.
Serve with lentils, spicy curries, and stir-fries.
Coconut milk, stews, and fresh vegetable soups are all good options.

Basic prep: In a pot with a lid, combine 1 cup White Basmati Rice and 1-1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low heat and continue to cook for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Before serving, fluff with a fork.
