The clove is a dried and unopened flower, not a stick or piece of wood. These flowers are from the Moluccas, a volcanic island series in Indonesia. We rarely see these lovely red blossoms due of its popularity.

Cloves are utilized in practically every cuisine. While it is commonly used in savory dishes in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, it is also utilized in baked goods in Europe and the Americas.

The clove has been used medicinally. Their essential oils can help digestion by boosting stomach acid, relax muscles, and relieve pain (pop one in your mouth next to a sore tooth).
