***THIS IS A 1-STAR REVIEW -- THIS COMPANY WON'T ALLOW 1-STAR RATINGS UNLESS "VERIFIED"!!!***
I am interested in buying Blue Lotus -- real, authentic Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) that contains the psychoactive compounds nuciferine and aporphine. Unfortunately, Blue Lotus is incredibly rare and in high demand: this means it is constantly faked by unscrupulous vendors.
Duals Natural is one of those unscrupulous vendors.
How do I know?
I asked for a simple Certificate of Analysis (CoA): this is the standard chemical analysis done by a third-party laboratory on a product to prove that it's safe for human consumption (under the maximum safe limits of molds, bacteria, and heavy metals). If requested by the company, the laboratory can also test the product to prove through DNA testing that the product actually contains the plant matter advertised, in this case, Blue Lotus - Nymphaea caerulea; any other Latin name means it is NOT Blue Lotus and is instead yet another overpriced fake that is NOT psychoactive. However, these tests simply prove that the product is safe and is actually Blue Lotus. And by the way: the CoA should be done for EVERY BATCH.
The other test I requested was a third-party laboratory analysis of the alkaloid content of the product. Real, authentic Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) WILL contain nuciferine and aporphine. These are the two psychoactive compounds that make Nymphaea caerulea so special and sought- after. Other herbs commonly mis- represented as Blue Lotus to scam customers (e.g. Blue Lily, Sacred/Indian Lotus, White Lotus) DO NOT contain both these alkaloids! Sacred/Indian Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) contains high nuciferine, but trace to no levels of aporphine.
I emailed Duals Natural 5 days ago asking for this very simple, very standard information. I have still not heard back from them. So, I called the phone number shown on this website. Someone from India picked up the phone. I asked for the CoA, and the man seemed confused. He asked "what are you looking for?" I repeated "the Certificate of Analysis for your Blue Lotus." He said "oh yes, we have Blue Lotus, yes, we have". I repeated "no, I need the CoA." He seemed to be so confused that I wonder if anyone has ever asked him for this information before? Then he gave me the most bizarre excuse in the world: "Oh, I'm overseas. I can't give it to you. Where are you?" Puzzled, I said "I'm in Virginia, in America...?" He repeated "I'm overseas, I can't help you." I pushed back, asking "um okay, well is there anyone in American who CAN ACTUALLY help me? This is a very simple and standard request." He actually told me "no, there is nobody there. But you can try calling back in a month.' Dumbfounded, I asked him to clarify: "did you say A MONTH???" He affirmed, saying "yes, call back in a month. Are you interested in buying?" I laughed and said "I was, yes; but without a simple CoA to prove that what I will receive is actually what you are advertising, and to prove that what you're selling is even safe for human consumption, OF COURSE I'm NOT going to buy it!!!" He tried to say something else but I just hung up. This is the single most insane "customer support" phone call I've EVER had.
Someone selling authentic Nymphaea caerulea will parade their CoA around everywhere and be MORE than happy to share it with a prospective customer -- because THEY KNOW that most everyone selling "Blue Lotus" isn't actually selling Nymphaea caerulea. But someone who KNOWS that their product is fake? Well, that is someone who will ignore requests for CoAs, who will make excuses when pressed for them, and who will just try to take your money and run without a second though to their customers' safety.
***ALWAYS. DEMAND. A. CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS. FROM. YOUR. SUPPLEMENT. SUPPLIERS!!!***
At the absolute VERY LEAST, even if you don't care whether the Blue Lotus is real Blue Lotus (which, if you're looking for Blue Lotus... why would you be ok with fakes???), at the very least demand the CoA to ensure the product actually is SAFE for you to consume!!! Without that CoA, you have zero assurance that there isn't lead or mercury in your herb, or cadmium in your supplement. Seriously. The American supplements industry is the Wild West of "wellness", and COAs are *THE ONLY THING* you can guarantee to protect you! Ask for a CoA, and then inspect it to ensure it's legitimate, not faked, and if you suspect it's fake, call the laboratory to verify the report -- they will be happy to do so! If you care about your health, always demand CoAs for each supplement you take... *especially* from companies that you don't trust yet.
And always remember: if a company isn't even willing to provide you with CoAs --the absolute bare minimum documentation they can provide to prove their product is safe and contains everything they claim it does-- then THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!!!
Duals Natural is now officially blacklisted for me -- one hell of a shady company. My quest for sourcing authentic Nymphaea caerulea continues.

I have been buying Blue Lotus from Dual Naturals for a few years now. I appreciate their quality & price. The packaging keeps the flowers nice & fresh. I consume it in many forms depending on what I am called or desire at the moment. It ranges from putting a whole flower into my tea to adding half to some wine or adding a small amount to my smoke blend. I highly recommend

I am pleased with my Blue Lotus flowers. There were 14 flowers in the 1/2 ounce package. I have not used them yet to make tea but will do that soon.

Very good in tea. Mild head buzz when smoked, hard to grind up though. My third eye still eludes me but this definitely gives a mild ‘floaty’ buzz. Seller experience was good, price is fair and shipping took about a week. 8.5/10.

Relaxing effects when smoked.

I've been enjoying the blue lotus as a tea. It has a lovely floral nutty flavor. The physical effects are pretty mild, but the dreamtime is vivid. Which is exactly what I was looking for. Very fast shipping too! Thank you for a quality product ✨️

I recently tried the Blue Lotus Flowers from Duals Natural for the second time, and I was initially skeptical because the flowers were smaller than my previous purchase. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them - the flavor was incredibly intense and full, and the vivid blue color was truly stunning. The quality of the flowers is exceptional, and the fast shipping and great packaging made for a wonderful overall experience.
