Profile: Curry Basmati rice is a fragrant, long-grain rice that cooks fluffier than white rice but has a stronger taste than jasmine. For our White Basmati Rice, we chose aromatic white rice with a sweet, nutty flavor.
Flavor is slightly sweet and nutty.
The aroma is naturally pleasant and similar to that of bread.

Basmati rice is a fragrant Indian rice with a heavenly aroma. Its nutty, buttery flavor complements savory foods like as curries and other Middle Eastern and Asian cuisines.
White Basmati Rice has a more concentrated flavor than jasmine rice and is lighter and fluffier than conventional white rice. Its white, non-sticky long grains cook up separate and fluffy in stir-fries, salads, pilafs, and desserts, making it a great replacement.

Uses: | In South Asian cuisine, this is a traditional dish. Serve with lentils, spicy curries, and stir-fries. Coconut milk, stews, and fresh vegetable soups are all good options. Rice pudding and other desserts will benefit from it. |
Basic prep: | In a pot with a lid, combine 1 cup White Basmati Rice with 1-1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil, cover, and cook for 20 minutes on low heat. Allow 5 minutes to cool after removing from heat. As desired, season. Before serving, fluff with fork. |
