Smoked paprika is the headliner, but it's backed up by Cumin. Cumin's warming flavor complements the sweet liquid smoke ingredients of smoked paprika.

Cumin provides a citrus tone that helps cut through the earthiness of the paprika and integrate wonderfully with citrus flavors like lemon juice. Combine lemon juice and Peruvian spice blend for a flavorful BBQ.

Fennel Powder: Along with smoked paprika and cumin, fennel powder gives a licorice flavor. Adding dimension to this combination.

A dab of mustard powder in Peruvian spice combination gives a tangy edge.

Last but not least, the combination is slathered with ultra fine grain himalayan sea salt. To balance the sweetness of cumin and paprika with the harshness of the other components, sea salt is used. This combination goes nicely with bitter veggies like endives and radishes.
